Pink Floyd在 1972 年演唱會期間，專程到巴黎北部建於法國古堡的錄音室Strawberry studio，為法國前衛導演Barbet Schroeder的電影 La Vallée，編寫和錄製音樂結構完整的電影原聲大碟 - Obscured By Clouds ，同年便推出他們第七張錄音室大碟。由於隨後 Dark Side of Moon 大碟的空前成功，這大碟往往被人們乏視；其實，這大碟當時的成績也不錯，在英國流行榜曾打入最高第九位，並在美國 Billboard 登上至第三名。同年，Pink Floyd於意大利龐貝古城的古羅馬露天劇場，舉行一場歷史性無觀眾的演唱會。

這套裝內歌曲除了來自電影原聲大碟 Obscured By Clouds及龐貝古城現場錄音，亦加入他們在法國電視台的演出及同年於英國 Brighton 演唱會。錄像(BD/DVD)方面，可以用5.1 環迴立體聲欣賞龐貝古城演唱會。附仿製當年記事本。
