Chet Lam - WAVES (CD)

This album about accepting death was an accident. In June 2021 , when I learned that my eight-year-old puppy Afu was suffering from terminal lymphoma, I found a little comfort and outlet in music production.

No matter how much psychological preparation and rational analysis you have, sadness will always shock you when it comes. After picking up the fragments after a huge impact, you try to rethink life and living. Experience will not help you. At most, it will just let you know that you have certain sensory nerves, and each experience is fresh. No matter how many opinions and wisdom there are, they are just impractical noise. No one in the world can tell you how to feel, what method is right, how long it will take... This is a very lonely road that you can only walk on by yourself.

What's worse is that it will come like a tide, beating your heart again and again. We cannot stop the coming and going of the tide. The only thing we can do is to feel it, let all the temperature, humidity, wind, rain and sunshine pass through your body and mind one by one, and live in this moment humbly.

To those of you who have lost something in your life, you are not alone.
