Academy Award-winning film score master Vangelis passed away on May 17 this year at the age of 79. He plays an important role in the world of electronic music and modern film scores. In his more than 50-year music career, he has released more than 50 solo and collaborative works, spanning multiple fields and becoming one of the most influential and greatest composers in music history. His 1981 film "Chariots of Fire" won the 54th Academy Award for "Best Original Score". Asteroid 6354 Vangelis was named after him!

Vangelis's 2013 compilation Light and Shadow: The Best of Vangelis includes 16 of Vangelis' most representative songs. Fans who like Vangelis should not miss it!
