JUD Chen Yongxi, an emerging musician who made her official debut in February 2024 by singing the five theme songs and interludes of the Netflix series "The Light of Love", has attracted much attention. She has not only sung the interludes of the Netflix series "Who is the Victim 2" in succession, topping the Spotify Taiwan Viral Hits and KKBOX new song real-time charts, but also won the "Metro Radio Chart" weekly championship in Hong Kong. He also attended the performance of Hong Kong's "Viutv Chill Club Recommendation List" and was nominated for the "59th Golden Bell Award" for Best Original Drama Song. She has been highly praised for her creative ability and unique voice, and finally released her first full-length album "When I Dare Not Say" on November 8, 2024.

In fact, JUD Chen Yongxi's journey to becoming a "musician" was not smooth sailing. After she was lucky enough to be signed by a music label during a college talent show, she began a long struggle and wait. It was not until the Netflix series "The Light of Love" was broadcast that JUD Chen Yongxi finally had the opportunity to debut successfully with her own music. This long journey, which was like groping in a tunnel, had a dramatic turn, and she finally encountered a bright future.

This journey of training not only brought about a significant change in the creative mindset of JUD Chen Yongxi, who majored in classical piano, but also reflected her more mature style in her subsequent lyrics and music works. She named her first official album "When I Dare Not Say". In addition to commemorating and bidding farewell to the days when she doubted her own value and was indecisive, it also looked back on the mental journey she has gone through, wrapping up the emotional doubts, traumas, self-denial, and dark emo emotions along the way in beautiful notes, which were properly included in this first official album of her life, becoming an unforgettable footnote in her life.

After experiencing this kind of self-doubt and somewhat destructive self-denial, JUD Chen Yongxi gradually discovered that it was not only herself who encountered these lows, but also her peers who had these common emotions, sometimes in relationships, sometimes at work, and sometimes in doubts about self-realization. Therefore, in the presentation of this album, JUD Chen Yongxi discussed with the album production coordinator Wang Zhiping and decided to present these emo tunes and slightly gloomy lyrics with pulsating dance rhythms and bright electronic sounds, making this conflicting and slightly contrasting New Wave electronic music tone the main force of this album. And at the strong invitation of Wang Zhiping, Hai Dafu, who was nominated for the Best Producer of the Golden Melody Awards, and Huang Shaoyong, who won the Best Arranger of the Golden Melody Awards, also fully participated in the production of this album. For the arrangement, producer Lu Shaochun, who won the Golden Melody and Golden Sound Awards, and Liu Zhiyuan, the former guitarist of Hong Kong Ukiyo-e Band and Beyond, were invited to add different sounds to the songs, making this album a rare "New Wave" style Chinese album in recent years. This new urban hearing, interwoven with the emo empathetic lyrics and music, will lead the audience into endless imagination, toward a new direction of "New Wave Music" that belongs more to the millennial generation.

All of this, in addition to fulfilling JUD Chen Yongxi's musical dream, more importantly, after you listen to it, JUD Chen Yongxi wants you to know: those emotions that you don't want to be discovered by others and dare not say are not only in your mind, but we are all the same.
