1992年上映的《哥倫布傳》(1492: Conquest of Paradise)，由導演Sir Ridley Scott執導，講述了哥倫布航海發現新大陸的故事。該片的原聲音樂由奧斯卡級電影配樂大師Vangelis創作，這也是他與Sir Ridley Scott的第二次合作——此前，他曾為史考特的經典科幻電影《2020》(Blade Runner) 譜寫配樂。
