The suspense drama Twin Peaks, which was nominated for 14 Emmy Awards, premiered on the ABC Television Network in the United States on April 8, 1990. It received rave reviews and was hailed by critics as one of the most mysterious and bizarre dramas in American television history in the 1990s. David Lynch is a famous director who is good at creating situations. His works mostly revolve around the dark side of human nature such as fear, confusion, and death. He incorporates his strong personal visual style and themes into the main plot, subverting the traditional detective drama genre.
The soundtrack was composed by the famous composer Angelo Badalamenti, who used electronic piano, electronic synthesizer and guitar to create a very strong sense of ethereal mystery, combining the depressing and low-key music style popular in the 1930s and 1940s with the elegant and beautiful New Age of the 1980s and 1990s. In particular, the theme songs "Falling", "Into The Night" and "The Nightgale" sung by Julee Cruise fully express the entire plot.
