In 2022, the long-awaited all-round musician JNYBeatz has carefully created 10 original works. Collaboration with local singers/music groups: Lam Ka Him, Cheung Chi-Chung, TomFatKi, Dough-Boy, 193, Serrini, Rock Hill Street, Delta T and Zhu Lin
JNYBeatz, who has been composing, arranging and producing music for many singers, chose to release the album <ON DA BEATZ> as a Producer Artist this time, mainly to bring this culture to Hong Kong. He believes that many people think that music is secondary when listening to songs and that the lead singer is the focus, but everyone ignores the production team behind the scenes and the music in the song, which is actually extremely important. Influenced by foreign music culture, JNY has always been paying attention to different producers and found that many producers and DJs actually use music as the main body and then crossover with different artists.
Therefore, the concept of this album is to put JNYBeatz’s music first and feature the singers. I hope that through this album, Hong Kong listeners can learn more about music culture and music genres. If you have listened to JNYBeatz's music, you will find that each of his songs begins with "JNY ON DA BEATZ". This feature was chosen as the title of his first album, so it was named <ON DA BEATZ>. The album includes ten songs in different styles including Hip Hop, R&B, Funky, etc. We also invited many musicians and singers such as Lam Ka Him, Cheung Chi-Chung, 193, Serrini, TomFatKi, Dough-Boy, Stone Mountain Street, Delta T, and Zhu Zhu to collaborate with us, hoping to discover more of their plasticity through this album. The themes of the songs are mainly derived from life, emotions and feelings. Some explore human nature, while others talk about social trends. Each song is JNY's own experience, and he hopes to use music to record different people and things.
JNY hopes that after listening to the album, fans will not only have a better understanding of the work of a Producer Artist, but will also be able to learn about different musical styles and get to know the many aspects of JNY’s music.
