"The Godfather Part III" is the final chapter of the American crime film trilogy directed by Francis Coppola, starring Al Pacino, Andy García, Diane Keaton and Talia Shire. It tells the story of Italian-American protagonist Michael Corleone taking over the family business and becoming the leader of the underworld. The film was a global hit that year and was nominated for eight Academy Awards including Best Picture. The film's original score was composed by Carmine Coppola and Nino Rota (who has composed over 150 film scores including The Godfather Parts II and III). Includes the song "Promise Me You'll Remember" featuring Harry Connick Jr. The score won an Academy Award and was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Original Film Score.
