Blind Before I Stop is the fifth studio album by American hard rock and heavy metal singer Meatloaf, released in 1986. It was produced by German Frank Farian and was the first time that he fully embraced the music of the Eighties.
The album included three singles: "Rock 'n' Roll Mercenaries" (a duet with rock singer John Parr), "Blind Before I Stop" (written by Meat Loaf) and "Special Girl". Although some fans were dissatisfied with the fact that Steinman's musical elements were removed from the album ( and electronic synthesized music was added), it entered the pop charts of many countries, including the UK Album Chart at No. 28, the Swiss Album Chart at No. 21, and the Swedish Album Chart at No. 36.
With his energetic and wide-range voice and unique live performances, Meat Loaf has fans in many countries over the years. His first album was released more than 40 years ago, and it still maintains a certain sales volume ( up to 200,000 copies) every year, and still occupies a place on the album charts in many countries.
