Cath Wong Huang Yan's new song "July 24 Avenue"
Huang Yan, who has always loved reading, based her new song on the work of the same name by Japanese writer Shuichi Yoshida. The protagonist in the novel is often in a state of chaos and has to rely on his own strength to walk his own path. "July 24 Avenue" injects her naked soul into the song, hoping that everyone can get the strength to transcend chaos from it.
As for the MV, "July 24th Avenue" plays with the creative experiment of literature x literature x music. Director Pazu specially uses the protagonists of Haruki Murakami's "1Q84": Aomame and Tengo to tell the story of going from chaos to finding oneself, and Cath and Lo Chun-yip (Ono) play Aomame and Tengo respectively, connecting the common sense of loneliness between "1Q84" and "July 24th Avenue".
