"I am a rocker who was held back by my sweet voice," Zhou Hui jokingly said of her identity as a singer. She said that since her debut, she was born with a sweet voice, so the company always took love songs as the first consideration when collecting songs. She admitted that she had a rebellious personality but found the multiverse of her own music in cover albums. "Everyone has preconceived ideas about classic songs, including the tonality and appearance of the songs. Therefore, making cover albums is more challenging and changeable, and requires more diverse musical elements or singing styles. The track list of "Time Not Forgotten 2 " is composed of classic songs from the 80s and 90s that Zhou Hui absorbed as a musical nurture during her growth. It is not just a song, but also the youthful memories of Zhou Hui and you and me. The album includes such wonderful tracks as "Thinking of You Everyday" ( Zhang Yusheng ) , "You Are With Me All the Way" ( Jacky Cheung ) , "Don't Let My Tears Accompany Me All Night" ( Chyi Chin ) , "Lovelor Front Alliance" ( Grasshopper ) , "Mind Game" ( Daniel Chan ) , etc. Zhou Hui also recorded her first Cantonese studio work, challenging her idol Beyond's Cantonese classic - "I Like You". Even her good friend William So was surprised after listening to it. He did not expect Zhou Hui's Cantonese to be so standard. After listening to the album's main single "Refuse to Play Again" ( originally sung by Leslie Cheung ) , junior sister Yan Yige praised it as "too tingling!"

The producer of "The Time That Will Not Be Forgotten 2 ", Wang Zhiping, looked for references to many types of music and finally decided to set the tone of the album as jazz style. He added jazz elements to the popular structure arrangement, allowing the contemporary and retro to collide, and mixed retro music elements such as 90s Chinese classics, light jazz, live instruments and analog recordings or equipment with modern arrangements and instrumental timbres. With Zhou Hui's warm and sweet voice flowing out, it is like an immersive experience of soothing the soul and returning to youth.
