Elsa Dreisig &Marianne Crebassa & Joana Mallwitz - Mozart: Così Fan Tutte (DVD)

To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Salzburg Festival in the summer of 2020 , a performance of composer Mozart's famous opera " Cos ì Fan Tutte " was arranged. This new production was created in a few weeks by a team led by award-winning stage director Christoph Loewy and conductor Joana Mallwitz , who is also the first female conductor to conduct a series of performances at the Salzburg Festival. Germany's Die Welt praised: "This is the best Mozart performance in Salzburg in decades."

The music director of the Salzburg Festival said: "We are very happy that through this work, the audience can appreciate the magic of Mozart's works, reflect the refinement and elegance of Mozart's music, and understand the great drama and excellent musicality of his works." This performance was performed by soprano Elsa Dreisig and mezzo-soprano Marianne Crebassa under the Erato label. In order to respect the relevant regulations of the Austrian authorities on the epidemic, the length of this performance was specially shortened to about 2 hours and 25 minutes without an intermission. Originally, the 100th anniversary commemoration of the Saarburg Festival was scheduled to feature a large number of opera performances, but due to the global epidemic, it was eventually changed to only two opera productions. This recording is one of them, and the other performance is Richard Strauss's "Electra".
